Fortune of War will be open all day on New Year’s Eve 2024, starting at 9AM and continuing late into the night! We’ll have a fantastic selection of local beers, with food available all day at both the Fortune Bar and our Fortune of War Lock Up.

DINING RESERVATIONS
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with us at our Fortune of War Lock Up! We’ll be open from 11:30 AM, offering lunch and dinner with bookings available all day. For the ideal dining experience with family and friends, our delightful three-course dinner at the 8 PM seating is the perfect choice. Plus, you’ll have convenient access to The Rocks, with the fireworks just around the corner. Don’t forget to reserve your spot—this is an event you won’t want to miss!

– $80 NYE set menu 8pm seating: 3 course menu – This is a strictly 18+ only event.

For those without a pre-purchased ticket, we will be open to the public, with free entry all day, subject to venue capacity and closure of The Rocks Precinct. Only guests with pre-purchased tickets are permitted entry to The Rocks Precinct after the gates are closed – don’t risk missing out, arrive early and pre-purchase your tickets to Fortune of War NYE and celebrate the best time of year!
Fortune of War practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Minors permitted under direct supervision of responsible adult from 12noon – 8pm.

WE’VE RELOCATED OUR BISTRO!
Welcome to our new Fortune of War Lock Up, located at 127 George Street. A venue that holds our history and reputation with a fascinating combination of who we are now after 196 years of operation.
It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch or a fun night out. In the late 1800s this building was a police station in the infamous Little Canton Area. The dining rooms, kitchens and cocktail nooks may look like a place to have a great time now, but they were once holding cells, change rooms, muster rooms and police offices!
Hearty pub fare is served daily from 11:30 am, with a different selection of wines, beers and cocktails for a perfect day out.
